Rögle has made it clear with a new head coach for next season. The former Rögle coach Dan Tangnes returns to the SHL club.
The Norwegian is thus leaving the Swiss top team Zug, where he won the league both in 2021 and 2022. The contract is written for three seasons.
The return means that Roger Hansson, who took over the club during last year's season, is leaving his assignment. This despite the success where he took the Ängelholm team to the SM final.
"A tough message to receive, of course, but I am fully dedicated to doing something memorable with this group, that's the most important thing for me right now", says Hansson to the club's website.
Dan Tangnes has previously coached several teams in Rögle's organization. He started his coaching career in Ängelholm's J20 team. After that, he also coached U16 before finally taking over the A-team. Tangnes has also coached Linköping in SHL.
