The price of cocoa continues to surge to a new record level. During Tuesday's trading on the commodity market in New York, the price rises to 11,938 dollars per ton, reports CNBC.
As recently as Monday, the cocoa price was at a new high level.
The price has risen sharply during the year, partly due to poor harvests in West Africa, which accounts for around three-quarters of the world's cocoa production.
