The Norwegian decided the league final in extra time

Much was at stake in the league final of La Liga between table leaders Barcelona and second-placed Atletico Madrid. And it looked for a long time like it would be a shared pot. But then Norwegian Alexander Sörloth stepped forward and decided for Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona started the season brilliantly and seemed to be able to sail away with an early lead in the table. But lately, it hasn't gone quite as well, and the table has tightened up significantly.

Before tonight's league final, "Barca" led on goal difference ahead of Atletico, with one point down to Real Madrid.

But after tonight, they are no longer in the driver's seat.

It was Barcelona who started best, when the two homegrown giant stars Gavi and Pedri combined to score the leading goal. But after about an hour of play, Rodrigo De Paul was able to equalize at 1-1, which for a long time looked like it would be the final result.

Then substitute Alexander Sörloth stepped in and decided the match for "Atleti" with his 2-1 goal in the 96th minute.

Thus, Atletico Madrid are the new table leaders, with three points down to Barcelona and one game less played. Real Madrid play against Sevilla on Sunday, and can climb past Barcelona with a win.
