It looked like it was going to be a double Mercedes in Belgium's Grand Prix. George Russell crossed the finish line as number one after a tough battle against Formula 1 star and teammate Lewis Hamilton in second place.
Russell was heard cheering loudly in the car immediately after the win and praised the team for the strategy they had set up.
However, several hours after the race, a nightmare message arrived for the Brit: Russell was disqualified.
A technical report released after the race showed that Russell's car was 1.5 kilos under the weight limit for car and driver combined.
Thus, the win was awarded to Hamilton.
Dutch F1 star Max Verstappen, who won the qualifying but was demoted to eleventh starting position as a penalty for switching to a new engine, finished fifth – but also took a step up in the results list after the disqualification.
