Gert Wingård's new extension to Liljevalchs art gallery in Stockholm was inaugurated three years ago. Right now, the contractor Peab is "sealing smaller hairline cracks in the facade", according to Lena Remaeus, communications manager at the Stockholm City Real Estate Office.
The cracks were expected and are explained by the fact that the building is cast on site in concrete, according to Lena Remaeus. They were discovered during the inspection.
It's not unusual, we're not particularly worried about it. The contractor is sealing the cracks now, they won't get too big. It's not a renovation.
Who pays?
We haven't figured that out yet, but we see it as being within the warranty framework.
The business is running as usual.
