The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is tightening its travel advisory for Israel and the Palestinian territories, and is now advising against all travel, according to the government's website.
"The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has been advising against all travel to Gaza for ten years, and since October 8, 2023, against non-essential travel to all parts of the rest of Palestine. Through a decision on August 1, 2024, the advisory has been tightened to apply to all travel to the whole of Palestine", writes the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is now also advising against all travel to Israel.
"Take this decision seriously. The security situation in the Middle East is serious and can quickly become worse", writes Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) on X.
The advisory applies until further notice.
