The meeting will be held in the Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday.
"In this very serious situation, we in Sweden need to gather and stand behind Ukraine", writes the Foreign Minister.
"Tomorrow, I will therefore inform the Riksdag's Foreign Affairs Committee about the current situation, about the talks I have with my foreign minister colleagues and with representatives of Ukraine and the USA, as well as about the government's focus on making Ukraine's position as strong as possible", the minister continues.
Sweden is also one of the countries that have received a letter from the USA asking what Europe can provide militarily in the event of a potential peace agreement, confirms the Ministry of Defense to TT, without giving any further details.
On Monday, another emergency meeting will be held between European leaders in Paris, following the USA's statement that Europe may be excluded from peace talks on Ukraine.
Does not rule out troops
Malmer Stenergard tells P1 Morning in Sveriges Radio that it is "crystal clear" that Europe should be involved when it comes to peace negotiations.
She does not rule out that Swedish soldiers may be sent to Ukraine when a "just and sustainable" peace has been negotiated, ensuring that Russia cannot build up its strength and attack Ukraine or any other country in the coming years.
When we have such a peace in place, it must be maintained, and then our government rules out nothing.
Several countries open up
The same message comes from Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).
It is absolutely a possibility, says Kristersson to Reuters about Swedish forces in Ukraine.
He points out that it must happen under the condition that the negotiations have progressed and that there is a clear mandate.
But Sweden is normally part of the security-preserving work in our part of the world, so I can see that we will be that this time as well, says Kristersson.
Even the UK has opened up to sending British soldiers to Ukraine, writes the country's Prime Minister Keir Starmer in The Telegraph. "Everything that ensures Ukraine's security, also ensures the security of our continent, and the security of our country", writes the British Prime Minister.
