The municipality will gather the memorial site during week nine, so that things don't get destroyed by weather and wind.
"We will make sure that every flower, candle, and memorial item – even matches, will be picked up by hand and taken care of in a gentle manner" says municipal director Peter Larsson in a press release according to NA.
"This is not withered flowers and objects, no, it's important memories that we want to preserve", says Larsson further.
It will still be possible to leave flowers and candles at the site.
It has now been three weeks since the incident where 10 people were shot to death and six people were injured. The suspected perpetrator Rickard Andersson took his life in connection with the shooting.
