The German 1800s opera "Friskytten" premieres on November 8 with Adam Frandsen in the role of the miserable hunter Max, who competes in hunting to win his beloved. Now it will be performed in a contemporary setting of northern lights and Nordic noir.

A new production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" premieres on Lucia with Sofie Asplund and Kerstin Avemo in the role of the Queen of the Night, featuring video animations made by French Grégoire Pont. From March 8, 2026, the acclaimed soprano Julia Sporsén will take on the lead role in "Jenufa", Janacek's opera about women's vulnerability.
