The party is simultaneously presenting three other proposals on clothes and fashion that will be driven within the government cooperation, reports Aftonbladet.
The other proposals are reduced VAT on second-hand goods, a ban on the eternal chemicals PFAS in textiles and clothes in Sweden, and a statutory emissions reporting on all clothes.
We want to promote the circular economy and second-hand trade of clothes and reduce the fast fashion consumption that is expanding in Sweden and which does not suit a country with conscious consumers and a great commitment to both human rights and the climate, says Climate and Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L) to the newspaper.
Swedish consumers have recently been buying more and more from foreign actors such as Chinese Temu and Shein.
