The second season of the acclaimed drama series "The Last of Us" has not yet premiered. But it is already clear that there will be another season, confirm the responsible parties in a press release.
"We look forward to continuing the story of 'The Last of Us' in season three", says Craig Mazin, one of the series' co-creators.
Season one takes place 20 years after the modern civilization has been destroyed and revolves around the two survivors Joel and 14-year-old Ellie.
In season two, which premieres on April 14 on Max, there has been peace for five years when Joel and Ellie are drawn into a new conflict. The main roles are played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
"The Last of Us" is based on a game of the same name.
