2026 is a big royal anniversary year. King Carl Gustaf has just celebrated his 80th birthday. The royal couple will celebrate 50 years of marriage in June, and Solliden Castle will also be 120 years old.
An exhibition of the royal family's private photos spanning five decades will be on display in the stone area of the palace garden this summer.
Visitors can see everything from the first picture of the young crown prince and his then-unknown fiancée, secretly photographed in Borgholm, to the latest family photo. It also offers glimpses of Midsummer celebrations, gardening and camping on the Öland Alvaret.
The anniversary exhibition will be on display until September 27.
