Italian composer Ennio Morricone is best known for his film music, but now another of the Oscar-winning composer's works is in the spotlight.
On Friday, his only opera Partenope will be performed in Naples – 30 years after it was written, reports Kulturnytt on Swedish Radio.
The opera revolves around a siren, a mythical creature, who drowns herself after failing to seduce the mythical hero Odysseus.
Ennio Morricone passed away in 2020, at the age of 91.
