"The Ferry" takes place on board one of the large boats that travel between Sweden and Finland. The 1,200 passengers are soon isolated from the outside world while something sinister is about to happen. The book was published in 2015.
Now, "The Ferry" is being made into a six-part TV series starring Björn Bengtsson, Jessica Grabowsky, and Kolbjörn Skarsgård in the leading roles. Strandberg and Malin Lagerlöf have written the script. Jonas Alexander Arnby is directing.
Several of Mats Strandberg's novels have been adapted for film or TV. Most recently, "The Conference", which was released on Netflix last year.
