Manchester band The Hollies had hits in Sweden in the 1960s and 70s, including "The Air That I Breathe" and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".

The British band toured extensively at Swedish folk parks and, between 1971 and 1973, Swede Mikael Rickfors was the group's singer.

Frontman Allan Clarke left the group in 2000, but the band continued to tour. As recently as 2018, The Hollies did a mini-tour in Sweden. In recent years, Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott have been the only remaining members from the heyday.
