SVT has placed cameras where the elk are intended to wander to their summer grazing grounds. But they are not keeping to the schedule and are already almost on site.
The idea was that the marathon broadcast from Ångermanälven would begin on April 22. Now it will be brought forward by a week. As early as midnight tonight, April 15, the broadcasts will start.
"This earlier start means that we haven't quite had time to prepare everything we planned, but we still want to start broadcasting," says Johan Erhag, project leader for "The Great Elk Migration" in a press release.
The TV venture follows the elk on their migration all the way up to May 4. The broadcast will take place on SVT Play and the Knowledge Channel.
