"Our assessment at this time is that the problem will not affect his chances of playing in the World Cup," says Mjällby's physiotherapist Filip Lundgårdh in a statement on the club's website.
Stroud was substituted after an hour of play at Strandvallen in the 0–1 loss to Häcken in the Allsvenskan on Sunday. It is uncertain whether he will play again before this summer's championship.
"He will now gradually increase his workload according to plan, but it is still too early to say anything definitive about his availability in the final two Allsvenskan matches before the break," says Lundgårdh.
Sweden will meet Tunisia in the World Cup opener on June 15.
Correction: An earlier version of this text incorrectly stated Stroud's age.
