The average variable interest rate at banks has risen overall to 2.65 percent in February, compared to 2.63 percent in January. The average interest rate is the rate that customers as a group actually pay - an interest rate that is significantly lower than the so-called list rates banks advertise.
Skandiabanken had the lowest variable interest rate, while Ikano Bank had the highest, according to a review by comparison site Zmarta.
At the same time, average fixed interest rates have fallen. The three-year interest rate in February was 3.02 percent compared to 3.09 percent in January. Here, Swedbank had the lowest rate, while Ikano Bank had the highest.
