The dinner that the independent school Europaskolan in Strängnäs was to arrange at the Sagerska House in Stockholm for students who previously attended the school has been moved.

We will be in another place in Stockholm instead, says the school's CEO Peter Jedar to Aftonbladet .

The reason for the move is "practical reasons" and, according to Jedar, has nothing to do with the criticism of the event. He does not want to reveal where the dinner will be held, other than that it is "not a venue that has anything to do with the government office or the prime minister."

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's wife Birgitta Ed, who is also vice chair and board member of the foundation that runs the school, was a co-organizer of the party, as Dagens Nyheter revealed.

The event has been met with harsh criticism from both corruption experts, who describe the event as lobbying and question the use of state facilities for private events, and from the opposition, who question ethics and the demarcation between private and public interests.

The Prime Minister's press secretary Linn Laurin writes in a text message to Aftonbladet that she does not want to comment on the Prime Minister's wife's private meetings.
