The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will visit Stockholm at the beginning of next week, announces the Government Offices.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) will receive the Emir on Monday and Tuesday for a meeting focusing on developing cooperation in areas such as green transition, infrastructure, and healthcare – as well as "discussion of current foreign policy issues", according to a press release.

On Monday, a dinner will be held at Sagerska Palace, where Crown Princess Victoria will also participate. On Tuesday, bilateral talks will take place between government representatives from both countries.

According to the Government Offices, Sweden and Qatar plan to sign several bilateral agreements within the above-mentioned areas of cooperation.
