The first season was broadcast in 2024. When the second season begins, the main character Iris (Helin) has become increasingly at home in Malmö and as the head of the Cold Cases group.

"It's so much fun that so many appreciated our series! I really look forward to getting the opportunity to portray Iris again and giving the audience the continuation of this story", says Sofia Helin in a press release.

The screenwriters and creators are Camilla Ahlgren ("The Bridge", "The Greatest of All"), Martin Asphaug ("The Murders in Sandhamn", "Mother Goose"), and Alex Haridi ("The Greatest of All", "Love and Anarchy"). Johan Lundin and Linn Mannheimer are responsible for the direction.

Among others, Kajsa Ernst, Håkan Bengtsson, Inez Micaela Andersson, and Pablo Leiva Wenger can be seen in other roles.

The second season of "The Truth" will be broadcast at the end of 2025.
