Pressure is mounting on Benjamin Netanyahu to investigate the events of October 7, 2023. On Wednesday, the parents of one of the dead hostages made a demand for a commission directly to the Israeli Prime Minister.

On Tuesday, the family of deceased Israeli hostage Itay Chen received the remains of their son.

On Wednesday, a press conference was called – where the cape was directed at the country's leaders, reports Haaretz .

As I said to the Prime Minister this morning when he called to comfort us, I will make the same point here, a state commission must be established to investigate what happened there (Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023) because the families of the 2,000 fallen and tens of thousands physically and mentally injured deserve answers, said Ruby Chen, father of Itay Chen.

He also stated that a commission is the only way to prevent a similar attack from happening again.

Netanyahu and his government have consistently rejected all demands to establish a state commission tasked with conducting a thorough investigation that can shed light on the course of events.

However, on October 15, Israel's Supreme Court ruled that there were no real obstacles to establishing an investigation. As a result, it demanded that the government provide information within 30 days on what such a commission might look like.
