On Arcade Fire's official
The Canadian indie group formed in Montreal in 2001 and had a big breakthrough in 2004 with their debut album "Funeral". The seventh and latest album "Pink elephant" will be released in May.
In 2022, four women accused Win Butler of sexual assault. They were all Arcade Fire fans and accused the singer of taking advantage of his fame and engaging in sexual relationships that they considered "inappropriate given the age difference, power relationships, and context in which they occurred."
Butler acknowledged the facts, but says the relationships were not initiated by him and were consensual.
Chassagne then stood by Butler's side and said in a statement "that I know he has never, and never would, touch a woman without her consent."
