On Saturday, it is the International Women's Day.
The Italian classic club Sampdoria is paying extra attention to it in the meeting with Palermo in Serie B.
On their social media, they announce that the silhouette of a male head that usually adorns the club emblem is changed to a female head.
The players will also wear a jersey with special jersey numbers where the names of all 4,665 female season ticket holders are written in the numbers.
Sampdoria, which was previously trained by Swedish coaching legend Sven-Göran Eriksson, was relegated from Serie A in 2023 and is now in 15th place in the second division.
