The classic floorball club FC Helsingborg manages to avoid bankruptcy – at least for the time being.
The club held an extraordinary annual meeting on Thursday evening about the strained financial situation, and later launched a Swish campaign during the evening to try to save the club from bankruptcy.
Before 12:00 on Friday, they needed to collect 100,000 kronor – something the club managed to do.
Just after 11:00 on Friday morning, the collection exceeded 100,000 kronor. By then, companies, private individuals, parents, and other clubs had contributed money, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad.
The danger is, however, not over yet. As early as Monday, an additional 300,000 kronor must be collected for the club to avoid bankruptcy.
Helsingborg is last in SSL after ten rounds with four points earned.
