Sheffield Wednesday filed for bankruptcy in October, and were then deducted 12 points from Championship football. Now the club has been deducted a further six points from the league, Sky Sports reports.

This time due to non-payment of salaries to players during March, May and June, as well as non-payment of management staff and missing tax payments.

Sheffield Wednesday are now down ten points, bottom of the Championship table. The team is 23 points ahead of second-placed Norwich and 27 points from safety.

The club's former owner Deijphon Chansiri, who left in connection with the bankruptcy filing, has been banned from becoming an owner or director of a Championship club for the next three years.

The 158-year-old club is up for sale.
