The Center Party's Karin Ernlund is stepping down as party secretary. "Now it's time, also for me, to do something else," she writes on Instagram.

Less than a week ago, Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist was elected as the new party leader of the Centre Party. Now the party secretary announces that she is leaving.

"I have just turned 40 and the Center Party has once again elected a new party leader. Now it is time, also for me, to do something different," Ernlund writes on Instagram .

Ernlund took office as party secretary in 2023 when Muharrem Demirok became the new party leader. When Anna-Karin Hatt then took over, she continued in the post. However, as the party now moves on with its third party leader, a new party secretary will be appointed.

The new party secretary will be presented at a press conference at 12:30 with Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist.
