The crime was allegedly committed against a former girlfriend who is one of the plaintiffs in the ongoing trial against him.
Høiby was arrested at a hospital on the night of February 2 on suspicion of violence, unlawful threats and violating the restraining order after an incident a day earlier in his apartment, writes the Norwegian Aftenposten.
He is now being charged with violating the restraining order and related harassment. Høiby was informed of the charges on Tuesday morning. He acknowledges and agrees that the charges will be tried in the ongoing main hearing, his lawyer, Petar Sekulic, tells the newspaper.
