The star striker Harry Kane has joined England's squad for the double Nations League matches this week, but the team captain will not play against top contender Greece on Thursday due to an injury.
The Bayern Munich striker came off with a leg injury in the second half when the German giant played 3–3 against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
England's temporary national team coach Lee Carsley says he does not want to take any risks with Kane. The centre-back John Stones will temporarily take over the captain's armband for England at home against Greece.
The English will meet Finland away on Sunday in Division B (Group 2). Both England and Greece are on maximum six points – England has beaten Ireland away and Finland at home.
