The French superstar Victor Wembanyama appears to miss the rest of the regular season in the NBA, announces his club San Antonio. This as the 21-year-old has been hit by a blood clot in his right shoulder.
This is a tough blow for San Antonio, who are fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The 2.24-meter-tall Wembanyama was picked first in the 2023 draft and was named Rookie of the Year last season. This season, he has averaged 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, and 3.7 assists per game. In November, he became the fourth youngest in NBA history to score at least 50 points in a game.
