Milosevic's final appearance in front of the AIK fans will be Sunday's Allsvenskan season finale at home against Halmstad.
The Solna team has a European spot to fight for, but Milosevic's highlight during his AIK years will forever be when he lifted the championship trophy six years ago.
"I will never forget the SM gold in 2018, I will carry the memories of AIK with me for the rest of my life, and I want, from the bottom of my heart, to thank you who have been with me in both good and bad times", says Alexander Milosevic to AIK's website.
He came to AIK from Vasalund in 2011 and made his Allsvenskan debut against Mjällby the same year. There have been two stints abroad, 2015-17 he belonged to Turkish Besiktas and 2019-20 it was a stint with first Nottingham Forest and then Danish Vejle. But both times Milosevic has returned to AIK.
Now, however, the journey is over. The decision is the club's.
"It is with great humility that we have made the decision not to extend Alexander Milosevic's contract with AIK. His merits are fantastic, his heart for AIK is big and his leadership in recent years has contributed to leading the club through both tough and good times", says the men's team's sports manager Thomas Berntsen.
