The actress Joan Plowright is dead, reports The Guardian.
She had a seven-decade long and successful career in theater, film, and TV and was part of shaping British post-war theater. In 1992, she played Mrs. Fisher in the film "Enchanted April", a role for which she received a Golden Globe in the category of Best Supporting Actress. She was also nominated for an Oscar for the role.
Joan Plowright was married to Sir Laurence Olivier. She was knighted and became Dame Joan in 2004.
She became 95 years old.
