No decision has yet been made regarding a possible investigation.
"We are trying to find out what happened and to assess whether it falls within our scope of investigation. We do not have a formal investigation; I want to be very careful to say that. We are talking to the parties involved and trying to form a picture of the events," says Kristina Börjevik Kovaniemi, chair of the investigation, to DN.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 30 cases of illness have occurred at SSAB's steel mill construction site on Svartön. Work was stopped completely on April 3. According to the company, measurements have not shown any levels above the applicable limit values, and earlier this week work resumed at locations where no cases have been reported.
