Cooper Lutkenhaus is only 17 years old, but has already made his mark in athletics history.
The youngster had a string of impressive performances last year, breaking several youth world records. He also won gold at the World Indoor Championships in Poland in March.
The form still appears to be at its peak. In Stockholm he secured another convincing victory, posting a season-best 1:42.70.
"I just came here to have fun. I don't focus on it that much," he said when asked about his resurgence.
But the young American thrived in Sweden's capital.
"I love Stockholm. It's my first time here. The fans are electric and the track is amazing," he said.
