Cooper Lutkenhaus is only 17 years old – but has already made his mark in athletics history.
The youngster had a string of impressive performances last year, breaking several youth world records and winning gold at the World Indoor Championships in Poland.
His form still seems to be at its peak. In Stockholm, he recorded another convincing victory, winning in a season-best 1:42.70.
"I just come here to have fun. I don't focus on it that much," he says about his resurgence.
But the young American thrived in Sweden's capital.
"I love Stockholm. It's my first time here. The fans are electric and the track is amazing," he says.
