As of December 28, 32.6 million foreign visitors had visited the country, a 7 percent decline from the previous year, Bloomberg reports.
A stronger currency against, for example, Indonesia's currency has been a factor, but above all a military conflict with Cambodia, a domestic political crisis, and floods in southern Thailand have had a negative impact.
The decline is the first in a decade, according to Bloomberg.
