A 55-year-old man from Texas who has been stalking basketball star Caitlin Clark has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
The man, who was arrested in January, is said to have sent threatening and sexual messages to Clark. He has also stated that he is in a "pretend relationship" with the 23-year-old.
Clark set the all-time scoring record for both men and women in NCAA basketball with a total of 3,951 points during her college career. She has also impressed in the WNBA, but was not selected for the Olympic Games where the USA won.
Clark herself has told that she has been subjected to stalking.
