SD MP Katja Nyberg was stopped for suspected drunk driving during the break. It now appears rapid tests suggested she was under the influence of drugs, writes Aftonbladet.
Nyberg herself has denied the allegations and said that she was involved in a hunting accident.
"It wasn't a hunting accident. From what I understand, she must have chosen a smaller animal, a rat or something. It wasn't a deer, elk or anything else," prosecutor Anders Jakobsson told the newspaper.
The police breathalyzer did not produce a result, but when Nyberg was searched at the police station, a zip-top bag containing white powder, suspected to be narcotics, was found, according to the prosecutor. However, the contents will be analyzed and the results are not expected until next week.
