For the seventh month in a row, the figures are pointing downwards in Europe, shows new statistics from the industry organization ACEA. In July, 8,837 vehicles were registered, a decline of 40 percent, at the same time as the Chinese competitor BYD was noted for an increase of 225 percent.
Tesla reported last month declining revenues and reduced sales for the second quarter in a row. The decline has been linked from several quarters to the CEO Elon Musk's political connections, in addition to him expressing his support for President Donald Trump and taking part in the president's administration, Musk has also expressed his sympathies for the German fringe party AFD.
