New registrations of Tesla's Model Y plummeted by 61.9 percent in March compared to the same month last year, down to 767 registered cars. For Tesla Model 3, the decline is even deeper, down by 70.6 percent to 141 registered cars.
Only two and one units of Tesla Model X and Model S, respectively, were registered in March.
A total of 24,024 new passenger cars were registered in Sweden, an increase of approximately 1 percent compared to March 2024. However, the level is 23 percent below the average for March over the past five years.
The share of rechargeable cars increased to 61 percent of new registrations and 58 percent for the entire first quarter.
New registrations of heavy trucks decreased in March by 4 percent to a total of 430 vehicles, while the market for light trucks decreased by 29.5 percent to 2,899 new light trucks.
