An 18-year-old Swedish man, who is being charged with terrorism in Denmark, answered "yes" during his trial when asked if he had carried out any assassination missions. He will soon be charged with a murder in Hallstahammar, Sweden.

Danish prosecutor Søren Harbo asked the question during the trial in Copenhagen on Wednesday. Harbo wanted to know what types of assignments the young Swede had carried out and also asked about murder, to which the 18-year-old replied, "yes, it has happened in Sweden."

Then his defense attorney broke in and reminded him that he has no obligation to answer questions and he did not elaborate on where in Sweden the murder allegedly took place.

The 18-year-old is suspected of shooting a man to death in Hallstahammar on September 19 last year. In interrogation in another investigation, he has previously stated that he was assigned to "kill in Hallsta".

In November

Anna Elmlöv is the prosecutor in the case and does not want to state whether he has confessed or denied the murder until she has filed charges, which she will do shortly.

My hope is to be able to press charges in November, she says.

Tobias Enochson, the 18-year-old's defense attorney, also does not want to comment on his client's position, citing the confidentiality of preliminary investigations. The 18-year-old has previously been "cooperative" according to Enochson, who says he has admitted to the crime in the investigation into the attack on the Israeli embassy in Stockholm.

"Groomats"

He has not named other people. However, I feel that he has taken responsibility for much of what he has done in the investigation that is public, says the lawyer.

This is a very special situation, with a person who has been "groomed" from an early age and drawn into increasingly serious criminality. It is a tragic social development.

The 18-year-old is charged with terrorism in Denmark after transporting five hand grenades and then throwing two of them in the direction of the Israeli embassy, outside Copenhagen. The incident occurred in October 2024.

He is also accused of shooting at a window at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm the day before the attack.
