Washington in the northwestern United States has received heavy rains over the past week, causing a dam to burst. Tens of thousands of people in the state have been forced to leave their homes after the flooding, and now the waters are approaching the metropolis of Seattle.
Therefore, the authorities have now issued warnings for several suburbs, and in three of them – with a combined population of nearly 47,000 – an immediate evacuation order has been issued.
According to the Seattle Times, the storm over the city is likely to last until Wednesday.
