The Czech went forward and wondered what was wrong, while Raducanu wiped away tears with her towel.
The tennis organization WTA says in a statement that the same man had behaved badly towards Raducanu earlier in the week as well. The man is now being investigated and is banned from visiting WTA tournaments.
In 2022, a court in London sentenced a man who had stalked Raducanu to a five-year ban.
Raducanu lost the match in the second round in two straight sets.
