The tennis star Daria Kasatkina stops representing Russia and will from now on play under the Australian flag, she announces in an Instagram post.
"I love being in Melbourne and look forward to making myself at home there. As part of this, I can now proudly announce that I will be representing my new home country", she writes in the post.
The message comes after Kasatkina, born in Russian Toljatti, has been granted permanent residence permit in Australia.
