In a statement, the players' representatives said they had reached the decision after constructive meetings this weekend with the Wimbledon organiser, the All England Club.

I think it's very positive news that we and they can now concentrate solely on the championship and on tennis, says Sally Bolton, CEO of the All England Club.

Several top-ranked tennis players said before the tournament that they would limit the time they would be available to the media, something that began during the French Open. This was due to dissatisfaction with how much of the tournament's income is paid out to the players in prize money.

The players' representatives write in the statement that the fundamental problem remains, but that a constructive dialogue will continue.
