The Australian tennis legend Neale Fraser has passed away. He was 91 years old.
Fraser won 19 Grand Slam titles, including 16 doubles. In singles, he won, among other things, Wimbledon in 1960. The year before, he led Australia to victory in the Davis Cup, a competition that he became iconic for.
"A true legend in Australian tennis who will be missed by so many around the world", writes the Australian Tennis Federation on X.
Even Pat Cash, another Australian Wimbledon winner, expressed his condolences to Fraser.
"He was like a father to me. He knew how to make me feel important and play my best game", writes Cash in the federation's X post.
