A tenant gets back over 120,000 kronor after paying excessive rent for an apartment on Östermalm in Stockholm, the Svea Court of Appeal rules in a verdict.
The tenant paid 18,500 kronor per month for a two-room apartment of 57 square meters in a house built in 1930, writes Dagens Juridik. The amount included a surcharge for, among other things, furniture.
The Rent Tribunal considered that the reasonable monthly rent, including surcharges, amounts to 9,950 kronor. The Court of Appeal makes the same assessment.
