The dispute concerns Tesla's self-driving system FSD (Full Self-Driving), which, according to the plaintiffs, is not as fully self-driving as it is portrayed in its marketing. They say this is misleading marketing and that the company is deliberately exaggerating what the technology is capable of.

The ten car owners are demanding 3.95 million yuan in compensation, equivalent to around 5.4 million kronor, according to Beijing News.

Tesla opposes the demands, claiming that some of the features are fully functional, while others are still under development.

Tesla's FSD system has also been criticized elsewhere, including in the Netherlands.
