Ten people are prosecuted for having deceived elderly women by calling and claiming that there are problems with their drinking water, according to the Prosecution Authority in a press release.

The league is accused of having stolen valuables such as bank cards and jewelry and is being prosecuted for serious fraud and serious theft against a total of 16 women. They are said to have entered the women's homes by claiming that they needed to check the water pipes.

"There is likely a large number of unreported cases of elderly people who have been contacted", says senior prosecutor Anders Svensson in the press release.

Based on the police investigation, the crime, which took place in Skåne and Blekinge, has been organized.
