In a 240-page long report, ten Britons are accused of, among other things, directed murders of civilians and aid workers and indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas, including hospitals. The crimes are said to have taken place when the individuals served with the Israeli military in Gaza between October 2023 and May 2024.

The report, compiled by British lawyers and researchers in The Hague, accuses the suspects of coordinated attacks on protected sites and the displacement of civilians. It is based on, among other things, evidence from open sources and eyewitness accounts.

A witness who was at a healthcare facility saw bodies "scattered on the ground, especially in the hospital's inner courtyard, where many dead bodies were buried in a mass grave", it states in the report.

The report authors believe that the United Kingdom has a responsibility under international treaties to investigate and prosecute those who have committed "core international crimes".

It is unclear where the suspects are and whether they can be arrested. Several of the accused are said to have dual citizenship, writes the newspaper.
