On Wednesday, a Chinese man who is believed to have been part of the group's inner circle was sentenced in Berlin. He was sentenced to five years in prison for, among other things, aiding and abetting rape, after he instructed others on drugs that could put women to sleep before an assault.
The man is just one of many suspects in a case that has sent shockwaves through Germany. Previously, three men who were part of the same Telegram chat were sentenced to long prison terms for, among other things, rape.
In the chats - where the men shared pictures and videos of their abuse - code language was used. “Cars” for women, “fuel” for tranquilizers and “drive” for rape. The victims were called “dead pigs”.
